Cookie Notice
Last updated: April 2026
Here's a short, plain-language explanation of what data this website collects and why. No hidden trackers, no surprises.
The short answer
This website doesn't use cookies that require your consent. You won't see a cookie banner here because every tool I use works without tracking or building user profiles. The only thing stored locally in your browser is your language preference, so you don't have to select it again on your next visit.
- ✓No tracking across different websites
- ✓No sharing of your data with advertisers
- ✓No profiles built from your browsing behaviour
- ✓All data is processed on European servers only
What is a cookie, anyway?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device, a bit like a sticky note left behind after a visit. It lets the website recognise you next time, or remember your preferences.
Some cookies are genuinely necessary (like keeping items in a shopping cart), while others track your behaviour or show you targeted ads. I don't need those, so I don't use them.
What's running in the background?
Even without cookies, this website processes a small amount of data. For example, when you fill in the contact form. Here's an honest overview:
What is it?
A privacy-friendly analytics tool made in Germany that tells me how many people visit the site and which pages are popular.
Why do I use it?
So I can understand whether the website is working well and improve it where needed.
What data is involved?
- Which page you visited
- Roughly where you're from (country only, no precise location)
- Which device and browser you're using
- Your IP address. Shortened, so you can't be identified
Pirsch stores nothing permanently on your device and builds no personal profile about you. Processing is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Privacy Policy ↗What is it?
A European email service based in France that forwards messages from the contact form to me.
Why do I use it?
So I can receive and respond to enquiries sent through the contact form.
What data is involved?
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message
- The time your message was sent
Your data is used only to respond to your enquiry. Not for marketing or any other purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Privacy Policy ↗What is it?
A small piece of information saved in your browser, the language you last selected.
Why do I use it?
So you don't have to choose your language again on your next visit.
What data is involved?
- Your chosen language (e.g. 'en', 'de' or 'nl')
Technically necessary, no consent required. Stored locally in your browser only, never sent to any server.
No external providerWhat is it?
The fonts on this website are loaded directly from my own server, not from Google or any other external service.
Why do I use it?
So the site looks good without making any connection to third-party providers.
What data is involved?
- None. Your device makes no external connection for fonts.
No personal data is transmitted whatsoever.
No external providerYour rights
You have the right to know what data is stored about you, and you can ask for it to be deleted or corrected at any time. Specifically, you have the right to:
